Bad Haiku?
As with these things, I get caught up in the moment and now I'm working to rebuild my shattered Imperial Navy fleet. for those not in the know, Battlefleet Gothic was a space ship battle game by Games Workshop. Like always with GW they just stop supporting it to the point of excommunication. With that, eBay is generally the only source of original ships, with stand-ins popping up on Shapeways and the like to fill the need for new models. Ofcourse the hobby takes to kitbashing like ducks to Hoi-sin sauce.
Gothic Class & Tyrant Class Cruisers, respectively.
Out of the rabble of parts from my junk boxes, I think I can make a respectable flotilla of cruisers. A lot of repairs are needed to 'unconvert' some back into stock Navy ships, but that's all part of the fun.
Maybe 4-5 stock Navy ships salvaged, several destroyers and escorts, and a
Rogue Trader ship in black.
Still need to fluff the fleet. I'm slowly throwing together an Imperial Guard army for 40k, and I'd like to tie them together in some way, perhaps making some Imperial Carriers, military transports and such.
Looks a lot but it's really not. I maybe have 4 turrets to go round 10 lance batteries. Improvisation is key!
Next time I hope to have either some more ships out of the repair yard, and maybe even a colour scheme!
